Renewed network disruption caused by DDoS attacks

Resolved

Impact: MINOR

Between approximately 19:45 and 20:08 CEST, we experienced network connectivity issues caused by multiple DDoS attacks. During the attacks, individual IX connections temporarily reached full capacity. Part of the DDoS traffic was routed to our network by Hurricane Electric via static routes across multiple Internet Exchanges, resulting in additional load on the affected connections. During this period, some customers may have experienced increased latency, packet loss, or brief connection interruptions. The DDoS attacks have since been mitigated and network connectivity has stabilized. We are in contact with Hurricane Electric to clarify the routing situation and prevent further disruption. We will continue to closely monitor the situation.

Updates

  1. Resolved

We have continued to closely monitor the situation since the last disruption. Since then, there have been no further major DDoS attacks that have impacted network connections. Connections are stable, and the previously affected IX uplinks are back to normal operation. Hurricane Electric has also resolved the static routes leading to our infrastructure. We are therefore closing this incident at this time and will, of course, continue to monitor our infrastructure on an ongoing basis
